Guillotine Packing Cutter

Braided pump packing can be difficult to cut, never mind cut accurately.   Most mechanics will use a pump shaft to wrap the packing around and cut it to the length required.  Of course if you want to cut some rings of to bring out to a valve or pump, or a shaft isn't available .... what do you do.  The first thing required to to determine the length of packing required, the second is to get a good clean cut on the packing.  If the packing is cut poorly a leak path is created. Poorly cut packing rings can can require the packing job to be redone, not an inexpensive proposition.   The Guillotine Packing Cutter will help you to measure off the right amount of packing and cut it properly the first time.

Available in 2 sizes:
  4" max shaft     and    10" max shaft size
Both sizes are designed for up to 1" packing cross section packing.
