Task-line® Gaskets

Task-line® gaskets are constructed by combining a gasket made out of virgin PTFE material with perforated stainless steel. The two different materials are being blended together to provide exceptional levels of resistance, sturdy build quality and durability to the product which it ideally delivers.

All brands that supply these types of gaskets follow the same basic method while additional steps such as electric resistive test and fluid resistive will be carried out by individual brands to show the superior quality of the products that they deliver. In general, Task-line® gaskets are considered to be high performing gaskets which have a PTFE resin within which the stainless steel component will be encapsulated.

By default, PTFE material has high resistive capacity even against corrosive acids, bases, solvents and multiple types of solvents. However, normal PTFE resin gaskets will have uncontrolled thermal expansion and creep when high pressure transactions are made through them.

To combat this practical issue and to add more rigidity to the product, the Task-line® gaskets were designed and deployed into the industrial market. By giving them an internal boost, users will have advantage of using PTFE resin which has multiple advantageous properties while the encapsulated steel will make sure it can withstand pressure without giving way or expanding within the flange.

They are suitable to be used with all types of flanges. Some noteworthy advantages include reduced thermal expansion, high level of dimensional accuracy, reliable and better creep resistance and increased capability to use it under high temperatures and pressure.
